Time to ante up. Today, I signed up to race the California International Marathon on 12/07, in lovely Sacramento, California. I’ve heard only good things about this marathon, so I am excited, also excited to race at a lower altitude!

Hopefully, my rival/friend Iowa City Attorney will also be making the trip out to Sac-town, the last time we faced off was in 2007 for the Quad Cities Half Marathon and I will leave it at that! This is called baiting/trash talking, since he has yet to sign up for the race!

Not sure of training plans from here until the marathon, but all muscle soreness was gone two days after the marathon, that is the best post marathon recovery that I have had and probably due to the higher than average miles that I was running. This weekend, I will be running/jogging the Scream Scram 5k tonight and The Denver Gorilla Run tomorrow. I plan to push my three year old daughter in the Scream Scram, thus take it easy and enjoy the festivities.
