1,715 Miles Total
My goal for 2008 was to hit 2,080 miles, thus an average of 40 miles per week. That goal was tossed out the window once I got my hip flexor sprain and didn’t run for eight weeks. Otherwise, I’m pretty confident that objective would have been meet.
2008 was a decent year [...]

I’m not into the whole social networking scene. Not that I have anything against it, but I don’t really need any more distractions or things to occupy my time.
However, I am into
Athlinks, check it out. Here is my
personal profile and here is the
RunColo Group. Feel free to [...]

In Runner’s World this month they had an article on
Ian’s Shoelace Site and in that article Ian mentions how about 50% of the population does not tie their shoes properly. I started to wonder, was I in the bottom half of the population, a citizen who did not know how to tie their [...]

A few thoughts. Why is Rocky’s dog wearing a shirt? I should do a few winter 5k’s in full sweats, like Rocky in this picture. I bet it would only slow me down by about ~20 seconds and it would demoralize those runners that I defeat! I forgot that Rocky did [...]

I ran the
Heart Center of the Rockies Half Marathon in 2007 and gave it a rather harsh review. The course had issues the past two years, however, I noticed this year that they had an all new
course. The participation in 2008 was down slightly from 2007, about 26 less runners. [...]

When I was checking out reviews for the Denver Marathon, I came across this gem, the
Volkswagen Denver Marathon. From what I can gather the Volkswagen Denver Marathon took place from 2000-2004, 2004 was the death of the VW Denver Marathon, in fact they didn’t even have it, it got cancelled the day before [...]

The
Denver Gorilla Run took place at 11:30 am on a warm fall afternoon, the temp was close to 70 degrees. Let me tell you something, running in a Gorilla Costume is hot. When I went to pick up my Gorilla Costume the lady told me that they fit rather snug and that [...]

Time to ante up. Today, I signed up to race the
California International Marathon on 12/07, in lovely Sacramento, California. I’ve heard only good things about this marathon, so I am excited, also excited to race at a lower altitude!
Hopefully, my rival/friend
Iowa City Attorney will also be making the trip out to [...]
