Great interview. I was surprised to hear about them not having a nice indoor facility either. Here in Wisconsin it seems as if even all the Division 3 teams have nice 200 meter tracks.

That's similar to T. Boone Pickens donating $165m to Oklahoma State.

My guess is at least $1m goes to redesigning the hideous Oregon Football Jerseys each and every year.

Aside from what Nike does, Phil Knight personally appears to have a ton of involvement with Nike. $100M personal donation -
http://media.www.dailyemerald.com/media/storage/paper859/news/2007/08/20/News/Phil-Knight.Donates.100.Million.To.Oregon.Athletics-2932941.shtml

I doubt that any of this can go directly to scholarships, but it surely has an influence.

I had no idea that scholarships were so limited.

What do you mean by Phil Knight? CU is a Nike backed team, I know that much... are you just saying the amount of help that U of Oregon receives from Nike?

I'm amazed that CU lacks an indoor facility, there a lot of D3 schools that have nice indoor facilities.

I have also heard that CU Basketball has it rough recruiting wise (compared to the rest of the Big 12), they don't charter flights, limited budget, etc.

No idea on football.

I would've liked to have heard his opinion of your Five Fingers.

Disappointed to hear that with the scholarship situation, we have little chance to chase some of the national class high school guys. I guess Phil Knight makes a big difference.
