The Kaiser Permanente Colfax Marathon is a non-profit organization dedicated to shining a positive light on Colfax Avenue and fostering community health and fitness.
Last year I was critical of the “friend for free” offer, thus I think this is a smart move. I do wonder though if they are discounting the race too much? I’d love to know what percentage of the runners register before December 4th as a 50% reduction in the price point is pretty drastic.
I am seriously considering the full. I quite enjoyed the half last year (although they did seem to run out of water for the slower paced half runners).
I ran part of the course today and has some downhills around mile 19-21
I was impressed with the giant price break too. Holiday special apparently.
Folks were talking about it at Niketown group run, so it’s got some buzz generated at least.
