9/17 – 7.1 Miles
9/18 – 15.33 Miles on The High Line Canal Trail
9/19 – 7.2 Miles
9/20 – 5.1 Miles
9/21 – Boulder Half Marathon in 1:23:23
70.14 Miles Total
A good week of training, with the last three weeks all being above 70 miles. 70 was my previous highest week ever, which I did in 2007, but I only did it once. The great news is that I feel strong and healthy and am pretty sure that I am still getting faster.
The Boulder Half Marathon also went well, I was content with my performance. I didn’t get my goal time, but I wasn’t too far off though. Four weeks until the Denver Marathon, this is my last hard week before the taper starts.
I may run the Fans on the Field 10k this Sunday, but it’s still up in the air. I’m not sure if the course is conducive to a fast time, I’m thinking running in and out of the Pepsi Center, Coors Field, and Invesco Field, as cool as that sounds, probably makes for a lot of turns and not a fast course.
Also, if you’re interested in running the Panera 5k/10k (Westminster) or the Mountain Chile Cha Cha (Pagosa Springs), let me know. I have one, maybe two FREE entries to the Panera 5k/10k and two entries into the Mountain Chile Cha Cha. If you’re interested, just contact me, the only thing I ask in return is that you post a review of the race on the Colorado Running Forum.

How was the Boulder race?
*slaps forehead*–nevermind. just saw the entries below this one.
nothing to see here. move along.
Sweet race time!! Can’t wait to see how your marathon goes.
