I also did core work three time this past week, for 15 minutes per session.
A great week of training as I was able to take advantage of the mild, fall like weather. All my runs were easy and lately I haven’t even been using my watch for most of my runs. I need to start throwing in some tempo runs and perhaps some intervals though, time to up the ante.
On a side note, at work on Friday, I timed myself going up ten flights of stairs. I did this in :47 seconds and was incredible winded! It was harder than running an all out 400 meters that was for sure. The purpose of this “excercise” was to see how long I could skip a step, I was able to skip a step the entire way, but by the 8th floor I was in hurting mode. Thus, I found out that skipping a step will not be possible for the Run the Republic. I’ll start of taking one step at a time and if I have anything left (which I doubt) I will skip a step. My guess is if I skip a step at the begining that I will go into oxygen debt right away, thus it was a good little experiment to try out before I do the Run the Republic.
Also, Asics DS Trainer Review, I picked these up last week and so far they have been fantastic.
When I was running on The High Line Canal on Saturday morning, I saw a pack of five to six Coyotes. It’s not unusual to see Coyotes out there, but I have never seen that many together and they were just watching me as I ran by. I got a bit nervous and kept my eyes on them, but they just sat there. In recent years they have had signs posted for aggressive coyotes and I assumed that that aggressiveness was aimed at other animals, in particular dogs. I just read this article in the Denver Post. I just have to say if the city pays $60 an hour to kill Coyotes, I have no idea why I went college, seriously did the city go through Haliburton, what’s the deal here? I just hope this Jay Stewart individual isn’t a Carl Spackler.
Sandy: I want you to kill every gophers on the golf course!
Carl Spackler: Correct me if I’m wrong Sandy, but if I kill all the golfers, they’re gonna lock me up and throw away the key…
Sandy: Not golfers, you great fool! Gophers! The *little* *brown*, *furry* *rodents* -!
Carl Spackler: We can do that; we don’t even have to have a reason. All right, let’s do the same thing, but with gophers -!

I might have wet myself….6?
Looks like you had a great week! Stairs just kill me. I add them to my workouts sometimes.
The stair climb sounds evil dude.. don’t get hurt!
There’s a guy up the road that has a pack of wolves. When I run by in the morning with my head lamp (like I am getting ready to do this morning) they all just line up at the fence and watch me… 14 glowing eyes just sitting there… watching. I don’t want to know what’s going through their heads! They are kind of friendly in the day time, but when it’s dark- I’m sure their thoughts are too!
