Wow, my biggest mileage week of the year! This heat is making it difficult to run, plus this weekend reminded me of being back in Iowa it was humid as well, uncharacteristic of Colorado.

Off topic, at the Liberty Run 4 Miler, the DJ started the race and starts playing Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the USA, I always get a laugh out of people who think that it’s a patriotic song. Come on, just listen to the lyrics.

No races for me this month, a lot going on and all of my weekends are booked. Heading to Portland on vacation in two weeks, looking forward to it. Regardless, I would like to keep the mileage in the 50′s and crank it up in August for NYC Marathon.

  1. I think you should taper for the miles we’ll be putting on in Portland!
